The purpose of this project was to create an artist archive library for collector's books in Lacoste, France. The collector's books would be made by SCAD students and alumni, and displayed in the library. I decided to implement important views such as the church on the northern adjacent part of the site as as well as sunlight, reflection, and ventilation in my design process. Reflection was a concept that I wanted to emphasize in my design, and that is why I decided to implement a waterway adjacent to the historic wall so that it would reflect its ancient beauty to the public.
